AwesomeMerch legal

Privacy policy

How we handle your contact inquiries and information about your use of our website.

1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy describes how AwesomeMerch handles personal information when you browse our website or contact us about a project. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the business operating AwesomeMerch.

Business identity: Awesome Merch. Address: N/A. You can contact us about privacy at hello@awesomemerch.com.

2. Information we collect

Our contact form collects your name, email address, and project details. Depending on what you provide, it also records your company, budget range, deadline, delivery location, artwork readiness or design-help needs, product selection, color and size, and email opt-in preference. Artwork status describes whether you have artwork ready or need help; the inquiry form does not upload artwork files. We also keep correspondence when you contact us.

We save a submission reference and timestamp, and a country code supplied by our hosting or network provider when available. Our website and service providers may also process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referral information, cookie identifiers, usage events, and diagnostic logs. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information about others unless you have the necessary permission.

3. How and why we use information

We use inquiry information to respond to you, discuss your requirements, prepare quotes, and keep a record of our correspondence. We record your email opt-in preference; any optional marketing must respect that choice and applicable law. We also use information to operate and improve the website, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, keep business records, and meet legal obligations.

Where UK or European data protection law applies, our legal bases may include taking steps at your request before a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business where those interests do not override your rights. Where consent is required, including for certain tracking technologies or marketing, the relevant processing must be based on that consent and you may withdraw it.

4. Who receives information

Inquiries are saved in our database. We use Resend to send inquiry notifications to our business inbox, including the contact and project details you submit. Our hosting, database, and email providers process information needed to operate the website and respond to you. Where configured, monitoring and operational-alert providers receive limited diagnostic information to help us identify failures. Analytics providers are described below.

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or safety, or support a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell inquiry contact details for money. Whether analytics or advertising activity constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” under local privacy law depends on the tracking configuration and applicable law.

5. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

The website loads Google Tag Manager, which manages analytics tags. The site configuration identifies Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity among the tools managed through that container. Depending on the active tags, these tools may use cookies or browser storage and collect page visits, device information, and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, or session recordings.

You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser and use provider opt-out tools where available. These controls may not disable every form of tracking.

6. Retention and security

We keep inquiry information and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up on the project, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods differ for inquiries, business records, diagnostic logs, and backups. This policy does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including server-side credentials and restricted operational reporting. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

7. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including countries with different privacy laws. Where required, transfers must be supported by appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Send requests to hello@awesomemerch.com, including if you want to stop optional marketing. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the request, and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where applicable, an authorized agent may submit a request for you. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children’s information

Our website and project inquiry service are intended for adults, not directed at children. Children’s products in the catalogue do not mean children should submit their own personal information. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Effective date: October 20, 2026. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required by law.
